Vamadeva and Shambhavi will join Deepak Chopra and his staff for their Ayurvedic training program including special classes on the Wisdom of Herbs and Tonification and Rejuvenation. Vamadeva has taught regularly with the Chopra center over the last fifteen years and helps with their Ayurvedic Practitioner Training as well. June 22 - 26 - Mantra Yoga and Primal Sound - Yogaville, Virginia. Special program with Vamadeva and Shambhavi based upon Dr. Frawley's most recent best selling book and Shambhavi's Yogini Bhava mantra CD. Will explore deeper practices of bija mantras, pranayama, and meditation rarely taught in the West, with reference to Veda, Tantra, Ayurveda and Vedic astrology. Will be our most extensive teaching program in the United States this year. We are happy to announce that our fourth annual Ma Ganga Retreat from March 10-16, 2011, is now completed with more than fifty students from thirteen countries,on the Ganga above Rishikesh in a beautiful retreat setting with private access to the river. Its theme was Soma, Rejuvenation and Immortality, exploring revitalization of the body, mind and spirit in light of our eternal essence of consciousness, using the tools of Ayurveda, Jyotish, Veda and Tantra. The retreat was followed by our second Yogini Yatra from March 16-24, 2011 featuring special tours and classes at important temples in Ranikhet, Dunagiri, Jageshwar and Mahavatar Babaji's cave.The Yatra had around thirty students from all around the world.We are planning the same events in 2012, with the Ma Ganga Retreat from March 7-13, 2012 and the Yogini Yatra from March 13-21, 2012. Vamadeva Shastri (Dr. David Frawley) and Yogini Shambhavi guide the participants in a yogic celebration of Shiva and Shakti as living realities woven into the entire fabric of life, offering daily classes, workshops, satsangs and discussions. The teachings are rendered in the traditional gurukul manner, outdoors sitting under Lychee trees laden with flowers with the roaring Ganga as background music. The theme of this year's retreat will be Soma, Rejuvenation and Immortality, exploring physical revitalization, psychological transformation in order to connect with our eternal essence beyond all death and sorrow. We will examine how to work with the various Somas of body, senses, prana, mind and consciousness through the five koshas and five elements.
